2026 CAS Case Competition
When and Where
Description
This is an annual case competition sponsored by CAS (data will be P&C themed). This competiton is for U of T undergraduate Actuarial and Statistical Sciences students only.
Sign up as a team or an individual and we will do our best to place you in a team (individuals will be placed in teams first come, first served, if possible). The case is such that 1st and 2nd year stats courses should form the basis of the technical skills required.
Approved teams will receive the case (via email) by noon on January 19th and will have until February 8th 11:59 to work on then submit their 5-7 min video. A group of industry professional judges will select the top 5 teams to present IN PERSON on Friday, March 6, 2025 - at least one team member must be present. Submissions will be reviewed and judged by industry professionals.
All teams who submit a case solution will be welcomed at the finale (even if not presenting) to network with professionals.
Registration will close Sunday, Jan 14th, 2026 at 11:59 PM . Teams will be notified/confirmed by Jan 19th, 2026.
1st Prize: $800 (to be split amongst all team members)
2nd Prize: $500 (to be split amongst all team members)
3rd Prize: $200 (to be split amongst all team members)
