Need extra help with your statistics or actuarial science coursework? Visit a statistics aid centre for additional support.

Sidney Smith – STA/ACT Office Hours 

Location: Sidney Smith, rooms 621/621A 

All TA office hours for STA courses are held in SS 621/621A, unless otherwise noted by a course instructor. 

 

Sidney Smith Statistics Aid Centre (SSSAC)

Location: Sidney Smith, rooms 621/621A 

The Sidney Smith Statistics Aid Centre is a new drop-in aid centre located in the Sid Smith TA room (SS 621/621A). TAs will be available in-person and online to help support students from a wide range of our STA courses. The aid centre offers general assistance to all undergraduate students enrolled in a statistics or actuarial science course. Hours for Fall 2025 will be posted in August 2025.

Unless otherwise indicated, office hours are held in person in room SS 621.

 

SSSAC - January 12th to April 2nd (closed during reading week):
 

Tuesday: 3:30 - 6:30 pm - Kathleen* (NOTE: No office hours on Jan. 13th)

Wednesday: 2 - 5 pm - Joey

Thursday: 10:30 am - 1:30 pm - Philip

Friday: 11 am - 2 pm - Jerry

New College Statistics Aid Centre (NCSAC)

The New College Statistics Aid Centre offers general assistance to all students enrolled in a statistics or actuarial science course.  If you are looking for more help, or one of your courses does not provide TA office hours, this is the place to go.
All TAs are comfortable supporting Python at the level of STA130 or R at any level.

 

NCSAC - January 12th to April 10th (closed during reading week):
 

Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Marco Gallegos Herrada

Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Yaqi Shi*

Wednesday: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. George Stefan

Thursday: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Jerry Wu
