Research Stream: Statistics Education

Supporting student learning at every level is a top priority for us. That means, thinking deeply about what and how we teach. Our award-winning teaching-stream faculty members are leaders in statistical sciences education and engage in innovative pedagogical research. That includes researching and implementing innovative ways of teaching, training and assessing future statisticians, and developing curriculums that set students up for success in the fast-changing field of statistical science

I think statistics education is important because I want to live in a world where people make better decisions with data and numbers for themselves and for each other. That's why I care so much about teaching.

- Liza Bolton, Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream

I genuinely believe that the Department of Statistical Science has provided me with the resources to thrive as a teaching assistant and inspired my love for teaching statistics.

- Victoria Marshe, PhD student
