General Motors Women in Science and Mathematics Award Winner in the Department of Statistical Sciences

The Department of Statistical Sciences is thrilled to announce that DOSS PhD student Ying Zhou, has been awarded the General Motors Women in Science and Mathematics Award for the academic year 2020-21.

The Department of Statistical Sciences congratulates Ying on her outstanding achievement.

Ying Zhou is 3rd-year PhD student focusing on statistical theory and applications. Her research interests include causal inference and related applications. She has been working on the identification and estimation of the causal effects, particularly when the treatment and outcome are influenced by other unobserved factors simultaneously. Her research has been applied to uncover causal relationships from large-scale observational data sets arising from genetics and medical studies.
