Biography
Rodrigo is a PhD candidate in Statistics at the University of Toronto, with a dual undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences with honours from ITAM. His research interests include machine learning, astrostatistics, statistical computing, data science, and spatiotemporal modelling. He is passionate about developing scalable methods for scientific inference in data-rich settings. Outside of academia, Rodrigo plays competitive volleyball on U of T’s development varsity team and enjoys working out and reading.
