Biography
Jongtaek Lee is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Toronto. His supervisors are Dr. Sheldon Lin and Dr. Andrei Badescu. His primary research interests are dependence modeling and predictive analytics in actuarial science. Prior to joining the University of Toronto, he completed a dual master's degree program in actuarial science and data science at Georgia State University, US. He also pursued his bachelor's degree in statistics & actuarial science at Soongsil University, Korea. In terms of professional qualifications, he holds a Fellowship of the Institute of Actuaries of Korea (FIAK) and Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
