As a teaching stream professor and undergraduate chair of actuarial science, my primary interest is to better the teaching and learning experience at the actuarial program. I have been a passionate course designer/redesigner and pedagogical researcher. I created the capstone course utilizing AXIS, integrated case studies in various introductory courses, and developed a pedagogical approach of "narrative mathematics" to improve concept mapping and active learning among students in large-classroom courses. I had eight years of industry experiences prior to joining UofT. I hold a Master's in Statistics and Applied Probabilities (with completion of PhD qualification exams), and a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. I am a Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA), an Assocciate of Canadian Institute of Actuaries (ACIA), and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA).
