Biography

Piotr did his PhD in Statistics in 2011 at University of Warwick. He held research positions at Mittag Leffler Institute in Stockholm, IPAM in Los Angeles, TU Eindhoven, UC Berkeley, and the University of Genoa. In 2016-2021 he was an Assistant Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. His research interests focus on covariance matrix estimation, graphical models,  high dimensional statistics, and elegant mathematical statistics. He is an associate editor of Biometrika, Scandinavian Journal of Statistics, and Algebraic Statistics.
