Biography
Ismaila Ba received his PhD in statistics from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2022. His main research interests are in statistical models and inference methodologies for high-dimensional data, especially, for data from genomic platforms (single-cell sequencing & microbial/metagenomic sequencing) and for spatial point pattern data. He also has an interest in applying statistical methods to hydrology, particularly using probability distributions to model extreme events.
