Biography : 

I am currently an Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Toronto (UofT), where I lead the StatsLE (Statistics, Learning, and Engineering) group.  I am generally interested in statistics + AI. More recently, driven by challenges within the industrial sector,  my focus has shifted to ensemble learning, generative AI, reinforcement learning, transfer learning, and trustworthy AI. I am also interested in AI for science. I currently serve as an AE for EJS and ACs for various ML conferences.

Previously, I was an associate research scholar at Princeton University, and then an assistant professor at UofT. I earned my PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH), and my BS in SCGY from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).
